Marcelina: Cleaner of the Year

Marcelina Monteiro has been named Cleaner of the Year 2026. This national title is a wonderful recognition of her craftsmanship and dedication.

She was surprised at work on March 4 and was told she was a finalist; on April 17, she competed in the finals at Interclean at the RAI Amsterdam, where she was ultimately declared the winner.

The jury praises Marcelina for her many years of dedication at the Rotterdam Eye Hospital, where she is an indispensable asset. With her knowledge, commitment, and positive attitude, she makes a difference every day. Her colleagues and staff hold her in the highest regard, a fact previously recognized with the internal “Het Oogappeltje” award.

Marcelina accepted the award with surprise and remains humble, but she is proud of her work, which she carries out with passion every day.

We are incredibly proud that she holds this title. Congratulations, Marcelina!
